Silver Belt
This Silver belt was bought in Melaka. According to the seller, this belt belongs to a Chitti Melaka. Chiti Melaka means Indian Nyonya family and the wealthy Melaka Malay community wears it. On the belt itself it has floral design that also portrays the Malay culture. If this is from the Baba Nyonya community, then this belt must come with other design, such as peonies, butterflies or other animals. It was made from silver and gild with gold. It is decorated with sea shells around belt. It is in very good condition.

Very nice and useful collection of ancient treasures! Mr.Prakash you have done a lot of work to showcase a massive collection here, and details given to each piece is really a lot of dedication. I am not a Malaysian citizen, but its is really nice to see these ancient materials. I think you should publish a book and make it available for more people to see these items, or a Tamil Museum would be nice. Thank you
