Parrot Concept

I bought this embroidery from an antique shop in Penang. This embroidery is a momentous to the Baba Nyonya community because there are butterflies on the edges. Butterfly symbolizes the Baba Nyonya culture and it signifies a good luck charm. There is a parrot that comes together in the same at work. This is one important part of our history that it combines both Baba Nyonya and the Indian culture into one. Parrot was considered as a meaningful bird and always signifies as good luck for Indians especially the Tamil community.
