Palmyra leaves written or Nadi Josiyam (predictions)

This leaves are called "ollai chudi" or in English translation "palmyra leaves". The contents in it contains a complete life story and the future.

Most of the Indians in the community used this to predict their future. Normally, this palm leaves inscribed in Tamil Sanskrit, but in some places you can find Tamil writings.

The history of the palmyra leaves is taken from "Siddhas, an esoteric group of enlightened saints of the distant past. The stories of many of them are not yet well-known in the West. They founded Nadi astrology. Lord Shiva, pleased with their devotion, bestowed upon them some exclusive powers. He gave them incredible clairvoyance to know the past, present and future. The Siddhas have etched their priceless knowledge on ancient palm leaves called Nadis" (Off side-content).

This "ollai chudi" or "nadi josiyam" had written about every individuals born in this world. Written on those leaves are the person’s time, day, date, year and place of birth, person's parents, their names, person's order of birth (first, second, third etc), information of marriage including date and name of the spouse, name of the individual, and also details of children if any, including their names and their achievements. This palm josiyam also mentioned previous birth and the affects on a person's life, health and also wealth. Finally, it is concluded that it these are for readings of the past, present and future.
