Dr. Kyota Yamada (Asso.Professor) from School of Asian and African Area Studies, Kyota University, Japan visited our collection for researching on Nagarathar Communities. We gained knowledge and had good time with Dr.Yamada.

DR.CARL, MS.KHOO SALMA & MR.A.R LUBIS VISITED OUR PLACE ON 3 FEB 2013.

Dr Carl Vadivella Belle served in the Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, from 1976-1979, and has maintained a long term interest in Malaysian social, religious and political issues. His doctoral dissertation, “Thaipusam in Malaysia: A Hindu Festival Misunderstood?” was accepted by Deakin University in 2004. He was appointed inaugural Hindu Chaplain at Flinders University in 2006. He has lectured on both Malaysian politics and history as well as South Indian Hindu traditions, and has had numerous papers published on these subjects. He has also acted as consultant on several documentary productions focusing on the festival of Thaipusam. He currently works as an independent scholar.

Truly Inspired

I came to know about your collections while searching for antique collections in Karaikudi on the web. I was astounded by the striking similarity between your collections and the ones found here in the antique shops in Karaikudi. But in most of these shops the collections are procured at throwaway prices based on their weight and the way they are dumped is really disheartening.
Truly inspired by the way you have tried to decipher the detail of each of the collection, your vision and passion towards antiques, I would say that I would be a regular reader of your blog and do keep up the good work.

Today (14-7-2012) 40 students accompanied by 4 teachers from  Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kamunting, Taiping visited our place for their "Education Trip to Penang".

It's good to know that there is someone who is keeping a record of the presence and the contribution of Indians (both from the south and the north of India) in Malaya.  It is unfortunate that the Malaysian Museum hasn't  taken
an interest in preserving the Malaysian Indian heritage of this country as there have been few or no exhibitions or records that have been displayed in our museums here in Malaysia. I have seen excellent exhibitions in Singapore and even in Thailand of the Indian diaspora. Therefore your efforts in collecting all this materials and sharing it with all Malaysians is greatly appreciated. Well done Prakash!

On 21st November 2011, SRJK Tamil, Ladang Stoughton, Batu Kurau, Taiping, Perak came for education trip to Penang and visited our place as an exposure for Tamil Heritage Collectible. 40 students with 4 teachers in this trip.
