Shaving Kit in "1907"

The Valet AutoStrop the design dates back to 1904. And on paper it’s a great idea: a single edge razor you can strop yourself – the mechanism allows space for a leather belt to be fed through.

This shaving kit which was used in 1907. The year was stated there. The shaving brushes were horsehair. It’s supposed to combine the best of badger and boar. Rare Collectibles!!!!

Peranakan Tiffin!!!

Peranakan Tiffin Carrier used in 1930's. Made in Czechoslovakia. Rare colour "Apple Green" with intricate design. Widely used by Indian family to carried food (lunch) during that period.

Old Bus Ticket!!!!

Ticket which was used for public transport (bus) during 1970's era!!! Interesting of it....is still attached with old wooden pad!!!

Driver License Tag!!!!

License tag, which used by Public Transport Driver in 1980's or earlier. A lot of Indian drivers worked as a public transport driver during that period.

5 Old Nyonya Straits Settlements Silver Button "5 cents" coins used as buttons for Nyonya's Kebaya in 1920's era.


Queen Victoria 1899 (1 pc), Queen Victoria 1898 (1 pc), Queen Victoria 1901 (2 pcs) and King Edward VII 1910 (1 pc)

Pillow End

This silver item was used as a pillow end. It mean, at the end edge of pillow (round shape) they will stitched as decoration. This silver pillow end was used by Malay community and only those wealthy families. According to some source this pillow end was made by Chinese silversmith for Malay community. If notice clearly, there is holy sign of Muslim and also decorated with floral design so it an evidence Malay communities used.

Curtain Hook

Curtain hook made from silver. In paired. Very intricated work done by silversmith. "Slamet Pakek" incised on it. Believed used in 1930's. Either Peranakan community or Muslim community was used.

Coin Purse

Beads coin purse which was used by Peranakan comunity. Small beads was used to make this purse. Intricate work and skill was showed by developing this purse. If notice clearly, floral and butterfly motif was applied. Believed used in1930's era by Peranakan communities.

Local Newspaper "Penang"

Penang local newspaper Strait Echo, edition1946 and another local newspaper, Penang Daily News during Japanese era with "year quote 2602" (1942, Malaysian Calender) translating to their calender. Rare collection. Both newspaper was printed in local Penang address.

Ice Cream Maker

This wooden barrel with iron mechanism was used to make ice cream in early 20th century (1930's). This mechanism made in Sweden. Very interesting piece and rare to find in market. The barrel part made from teak wood, which is heavy to its size. When bought this, the seller demonstrate us the way to use. Still functioning!!!

Charcoal Kettle !!!

Interesting kettle, made from copper material. Top part kettle and below part is to put charcoal. This charcoal will always keep the liquid warm all the time. Believed used in Indonesia in late 50's.

TUNKU'S A Pictorial Biography Volume 1 & 2

Every Malaysian should have these copies. It is about pictorial biography of Yang Teramat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj provides Malaysians with yet information of Malaysian's elder statesman. These books provide a wonderful information and photos showed how struggle and hard Tunku's in getting Independence. Also showed other colleagues of Tunku in progress of getting Independence.

Handy Singer Sewing Machine Ver 2.0

Another version of handy Singer sewing machine which was used in 1950's era. Made in Italy. Small in size and square in shape. Provided with original Singer needles made in Britain.

Miniture Handy Singer Sewing Machine

Handy Singer sewing machine which was used in early 20th century. Made in Italy. Small in size and interesting shape. Used by wealthy community to carried around.

Wooden Calender

This was made from teak wood and used as calender which can be adjustable manually. It is still functioning. According to my family members, this was purchased in 1952. Very interesting and heavy for its size.

Enamel Tumbler

Made from thick enamel and a product of Czechoslovakia, WWII period. The red vibrant colour is everyone's favourite especially the Chinese and Nyonya communities. The embossed flowers which makes the tumbler look more attractive. In those days it is believed owned by wealthy communities used for serving drinks to guests visiting their house. This tumbler considered as collectible items because it is quite difficult to obtain it.

Silver Belt

This Silver belt was bought in Melaka. According to the seller, this belt belongs to a Chitti Melaka. Chiti Melaka means Indian Nyonya family and the wealthy Melaka Malay community wears it. On the belt itself it has floral design that also portrays the Malay culture. If this is from the Baba Nyonya community, then this belt must come with other design, such as peonies, butterflies or other animals. It was made from silver and gild with gold. It is decorated with sea shells around belt.  It is in very good condition.
