Buckets (Vaali)

This enamel bucket or also known as "vaali" in Tamil language which normally used to carry sweets or food to serve people. This bucket also used to be given as DOWRI as a marriage gift. It was made in Checkoslovakia during Pre WWII. They are decorated with either enameled flowers, birds, or with gold stenciling. Some still have their original paper labels. They have a metal handle and some have a wooden grip. The condition varies, but all are in excellent condition considering their age. If you look closely, we can see Tamil wordings inscribed on it. Some of the buckets was bought in Ipoh, Penang and Singapore.
